A Coming of Age Story of Unlikely Friendship

Bored Nandini is exploring outside of her village in India with her trusty slingshot, shooting mango after mango out from a tree. It wasn’t until she noticed Nandu, a poor village boy, that she decided what she want to do with the rest of her day. After showing Nandu the ropes of how-to slingshot, they both soon realize that he does not have good aim – much to his disdain. It wasn’t until a thunderstorm hits, mortifying the young girl, that he tries to give it one more shot.
MY ROLE
Director - Lead Animator
As director of Slingshot, I've had to wear many different hats during the production of this film. From managing a team of workers, learning new softwares like Unreal Engine 5, and troubleshooting obstacles on the way, directing Slingshot has given me countless of new skills that I can bring onto other projects. Other than director, I also was lead animator, cloth and hair simulator, storyboard artists, look development lead, sound compositor, and video compositor.
